Lifeguard Training Course
If you know someone who might be interested in becoming a lifeguard, please have them give us a call! Participants need to be at least 15 years old by the completion of the course.
Dates/Times: June 27, 28, 29 (6-10pm) and June 30 (9am-6pm)
Cost: $400 (includes all materials)
This American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is challenging, including both lecture and pool activities. The course teaches participants to prevent, recognize and respond effectively to emergencies. Participants who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Lifeguarding and First Aid, which is valid for two years, as well as a C.P.R for the Professional Rescuer, which is also valid for two years.
In order to be awarded a Red Cross Certificate, participants will need to score a minimum of 80% on all written exams (at the end of the class), and prove proficiency in all rescue skills. Attendance to all sessions is mandatory to the success of the class. Participants will be expected to bring with them pen/pencil, lunch, dry warm clothing, bathing suit (women: one piece, please), and all materials given out for class.
Participants must attend all sessions to become certified.
